On October 7, 2010, in Centerville Utah, our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Christine Webb, returned home to our Heavenly Father. Christine was born on June 3, 1954, in Salt Lake City, the oldest child of Ralph Hudson and Grace Vanderhyde Webb. Chris is survived by her parents, brother Steven (Victoria) Webb, and her four special nieces, Natalie, Stephanie, Hillary and Shelby, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Chris grew up in North Salt Lake, Utah, and graduated from Viewmont High School in 1972. She was a member of the National Honor Society. Chris then attended Utah State University on a scholarship and graduated with a degree in Microbiology. She went on to study at Weber State and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a second degree in Medical Technology. Following her graduation, Chris began working at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, where she spent most of her career, except for a short time that was spent at Ogden Regional Medical Center. Chris was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she worked with the young women of her ward for many years. She was very spiritual and was close to her Heavenly Father. One activity that Christine dearly loved was traveling. She especially enjoyed going to the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City each year. She also traveled around the country to many Barry Manilow concerts as a member of his fan club. Chris loved holidays, especially Christmas. She was a doll collector, and loved animals of all kinds, especially cats, and was a supporter of Best Friends Animal Society. Christines family extends our heartfelt appreciation and love to the many wonderful people who helped care for Chris in her final days with us. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 16, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chase Lane Chapel in Centerville, 1125 North 400 West, with a viewing on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary at 295 N. Main in Bountiful and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the Centerville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Chris would love to see donations made to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT, 84741, and/or to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle of Hope, Salt Lake City, UT, 84112.
