Christy Ellen (Weaver) Poffenberger of North Salt Lake City, Ut passed away Feb. 28, 2015 at the age of 41. She is survived by her Husband Jared Kent Poffenberger, 2 Daughters Kaylee 7, and Samantha 4, Poffenberger. Also her Father Bruce Weaver and Mother Phyllis (Ratto) Weaver. Sister Marsha Weaver and 3 brothers Robert Weaver (Junko) Weaver of Twin Falls, Id., Brian Weaver (Laura) and David Bryce Weaver (Amy) Weaver of Kimberly, Id. As well as many Nieces and Nephews. Being from a large family she leaves behind 5 aunts and uncles, their spouses, and a lot of cousins and other family. She was preceded in death by an aunt, 2 cousins. She was born in Twin Falls, ID, December 17, 1973. Having been born so close to Christmas she was sent home in a Christmas Stocking. She grew up in Twin Falls and Hansen, Id until she graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1993. She then went to New Jersey to be a Nanny. At that time she also served an informal mission for the LDS Church in Trenton, New Jersey, setting up the Young Women's Program and testing a new concept for Seminary in the big inner cities. She moved to Utah to go to school at the LDS Business College receiving degrees in Finance, Human Resources, and Desktop Publishing. She worked for Deseret Book and the Utah School district until she went back to school at Utah College of Massage Therapy to become a massage therapist, she opened up her own private practice in which she helped many with severe medical issues as well as having some well known clients that flew in for their appointments. She made many friends with her bold and friendly smile. She loved family gatherings so she could visit with family. She liked playing games, Christmas music, movies, Broadway plays. She also loved going camping, beaches and traveling the world. But most of all she loved being a wife to Jared and a mother to her daughters. She will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Sat. March 7, 2015 at 11 am at the Woods Cross, Utah Valentine LDS Chapel, 1847 West 2150 South Woods Cross, UT 84087. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Saturday morning 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
