Our wonderful mother, grandma, grandma great, aunt and friend, Clara Stoddart Kreutzer, 95, joined her husband, Donald on Monday, April 20, 2015, to start their heavenly journey together. She was born on October 19, 1919, to Sarah Royal Stoddart and James Alpin Stoddart in Moroni, Utah. She spent her young childhood in Lehi, Utah and when she was 8 years old she moved to Salt Lake City. She graduated from West High School in 1936 and married Donald Kreutzer in 1941. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years in 2007. At that time, she left her home in Bountiful to live with her daughter, Jane, in Ogden. For the past year she has resided in the assisted living at Fairfield Village of Layton.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of her life and served in all of the auxiliary organizations but her favorite was teaching in the Primary. Clara and Donald served as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake Temple.
She loved her grandchildren and they loved her dearly. Her entire life was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren making their lives better because of her devotion. They each spent time having sleepovers, back rubs and story time. She also had a very special relationship with her great grandchildren including the role she played as grandma to her daughter, JoAnne's, grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her family but they find comfort knowing that she has been reunited with her sweetheart, Donald, and are both in their Heavenly Father's care once again.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her daughter, JoAnne Asay, a great granddaughter, Kathryn Hall, two brothers, Royal Stoddart and Herbert Stoddart and four sisters, Vermilla Hardman, Zoe Price, Ada Dillingham and Fay Rankin.
She is survived by three children, Dennis (Sally) Kreutzer, Chicago, IL; Jane (Richard) Hall, Ogden, UT; and Richard (Kathy) Kreutzer, Riverton, UT; and one son-in-law, Dave Asay, Farmington, UT; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Marillyn (Stan) Nelson, Salt Lake City, UT.
