Clayton Rose

September 23, 1924 — January 30, 2013

Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend Clayton S. Rose passed away January 30, 2013 in South Jordan, Utah. Clayton was born September 23, 1924 in Shelley, Idaho to Orrin W and Erma Westbrook Rose. Clayton married Virgie Mae Love December 31, 1947 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together they raised four children. Marc C. (Karen) Rose, Dennis L. (Nannett) Rose, Janalee (Jerry) Munro and Rodney K. (Monica) Rose. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving faithfully in many callings including the Ogden and Bountiful Temples. He proudly served his country in the Pacific during WWII. Clayton was a wonderful father and grandfather, loved woodworking, model cars and his yard. He is survived by his children. 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister Sharon Markeson of Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Virgie, one brother Shirley Rose and one great- granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 6th in the Farmington 10th ward Chapel, 850 North 300 West (Compton Bench). Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, Utah (across from Cherry Hill) and again from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment- Farmington City Cemetery.
