Clement Fullmer Tebbs, Jr. was born March 28, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah at his grandparents’s home at 1065 South 1100 East. He was the son of C. Fullmer Tebbs and Jemina Lavee Olsen Tebbs.
Clement attended Salt Lake City schools, graduating from East High at the age of 16. He then attended the University of Utah , taking pre-med, legal, accounting and business classes, and earned a degree in accounting.
In 1954 Clement went in to the United States Air Force as an Officer at Parks Air Force Base in Pleasanton, California. He served in the capacity of accountant at the beginning of his service, but soon became the acting base comptroller.
On September 9, 1954, he married Barbra Ann Crandall in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have four children – Mark Crandall Tebbs (Lee Ann Tyler), John Brent Tebbs (Alicia Milne), Marianne Tebbs Trottier (Craig Trottier) and Bonnie Kay Tebbs Piggott (Nathan Piggott). Clement has 17 grandchildren.
In 1956 he returned to Salt Lake City, Utah where he attended the University of Utah for two more years of graduate study. Upon completion of his graduate work at the University of Utah, he joined the CPA firm of Wood, Child, Mann and Smith, at which time he also earned his CPA certificate. He spent three years with that firm and then joined the national firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell, where he worked for 10 years. In 1971 he formed the CPA firm Tebbs and Smith. He owned and managed this firm for 40 years.
Clement was a High Priest in the Canyon Park Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was successful as a professional business manager and operator of investment properties. He dedicated much of his time to helping others with financial matters, trying to make a difference in their lives. One of his greatest joys was to be able to help someone make financial changes that had a positive influence in their life.
He suffered with several medical problems over the years, including cancer, but he continued to work and fulfill his duties at work and home in spite of his medical problems.
His children and grandchildren were his greatest concern.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a tiny grandson, Ashton Tebbs. He is survived by his wife, children and their spouses, and 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a a sister, Elaine Tebbs Fox (Frank Fox) and brother-in-law Daniel Crandall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2017 at Canyon Park Ward, 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Friday morning 9:30 -10:30 am at the church prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery.
