Clifford Arthur Kice III

Clifford Arthur Kice III, age 61, beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, passed away peacefully, Friday morning, May 17, 2019, at his residence in Farmington, Utah, surrounded by his loving wife and family, following an extensive battle with brain cancer.

Cliff was born on October 5, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, son to parents Clifford Arthur Kice Jr. and Mary Virginia Kice, and was the second of two children, having one sister Kathy Kice Bundy.

On July 25, 1986, Cliff married Brenda Kay Kice, of Bountiful, Utah, in a small wedding chapel ceremony at Beechland Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, and later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple July 25, 1992 and together raised a family of five children; making their journey from Louisville, Kentucky to Farmington, Utah.

Throughout his life, our Dad was a spiritual giant, a warrior, who conquered life living each day to the fullest and creating a legacy for his family to follow. Even in his last days, Dad’s courage and faith, which we had always known, moved mountains.

Dad will always be remembered for his example, his warmth, his smile, his generous nature, his personality; sarcasm mixed with southern charm, and for the many years of creativity and inspiration; Beach Bum Books & Songs & Lyrics by Cliff. He truly lived his dreams. 

Dad’s endearing qualities were endless. He was passionate, giving, considerate, neighborly, enjoyed sharing his thoughts, dreams, stories, and always took time to reflect on the good in his life and was always thankful to God for the things he had received.

Dad enjoyed an easygoing lifestyle; loving the most important thing in life; his family; wife, kids, grandkids, great-grandkid, father, sister, and many friends. He sought the simple things in life, quiet moments; intimate settings; whether it was something he was writing; books or songs, a song he was singing, or a story he was telling he always strived to make memories with those he loved.

Dad always loved stories and history, which helped him create the world of his writing. He was a true poet, lyricist, and gave us endless memories while always supporting his family both at home and on the road as a dedicated truck driver.

He had a lifelong passion for the great outdoors, a love for landscaping & gardening, a zeal for craftsmanship, building, inventing, and working with his hands, and an enthusiasm of hunting, fishing, shooting, volunteering, playing his guitar, singing, watching movies, listening to songbirds, reading novels, and spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, enjoying a good hair styling from his granddaughters, watching his grandsons playing ball, and simply enjoying life.

He loved being a father, a husband, and a neighbor, sharing jokes, laughter, and stories with everyone he met. He was a lifelong believer in God & spiritual connections, always holding in highest regard his testimony, leaving a legacy of faith in Jesus Christ to our family.

He loved more than anything, his beloved wife, Brenda. Finding time to always make memories, they strengthened their eternal love and bond for one another in precious moments; a dance, a yellow rose on their first date, holding hands, Dad playing guitar for Mom, tender kisses, traveling to the coast, strolling the beach collecting shells, and most important, building a family. To each of these dreams, they were accomplished, as Mom and Dad’s lasting legacy lives on.

Clifford Arthur Kice III is survived by his wife, and best friend, Brenda Kay Kice, daughters; Jennifer Nichole Mayes, Tiffany Kay Roberts; sons Christopher Michael Wheeler, Todd Grant Kice, Eric York Mayes, Chase Andrew Kice; sister and brother-in-law; Kathy and Larry Bundy, father; Clifford Arthur Kice Jr.

Cliff was blessed with 3 daughter-in-laws; Brittany Donna Kice, Becky Jones Kice, and Marjorie Wheeler; 12 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

His mother; Mary Virginia Kice; in-laws; Grant J. Tobler and Dorothy Cox Tobler precede him in death.

Evening Memorial Service & Viewing to be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm MDT at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main, Farmington, UT 84025.

Morning Memorial Service & Viewing to be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 am MDT at the Farmington Ranches 1st Ward Chapel, 14 Bonanza Road, Farmington, UT 84025.

Funeral Services to be held at 11:00-12:00 pm MDT at Farmington Ranches 1st Ward Church, 14 Bonanza Road, Farmington, UT 84025.

Graveside Memorial to be held at Bountiful City Cemetery from 12:30-1:00 pm MDT.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of our Dad in his hometown, Louisville, Kentucky, for family and friends to join together in celebrating his legacy in late summer. Additional details will be provided via Facebook.
