Clifford Ralph Hokanson, 53 years old and a resident of Kaysville, Utah, returned to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 6, 2024, following an ATV accident on Skyline Drive near Spanish Fork Canyon, Utah during a family outing.
Cliff was born April 8,1971, in Bountiful, Utah to Don Charles and Peggy Jane Gardner Hokanson. He was taught in his youth the principles of faith, honesty, hard work, and innovation which he epitomized throughout his life.
At Viewmont High School he was Student Body President, member of the state champion cross country and soccer teams, an Eagle Scout, and a high honors graduate. The first week at Utah State University, Cliff met Regina Feichko, where they immediately recognized that they were meant for each other. Following his two years missionary service in Brazil, they were married and sealed for time and for all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple and spent their lives as perfect partners. Cliff prioritized family and never missed a significant event in his family’s lives.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and worked at HHI Corporation expanding his family’s construction and manufacturing business. He and his wife jointly purchased HHI Corporation in 2011 from his parents when his father retired. His entrepreneurial spirit propelled the business from 33 to over 200 employees, with projects and products found across the USA and on six continents.
Cliff had an amazing aptitude for learning and problem solving which he shared enthusiastically with employees, family members, and the community he was proud to serve. Cliff valued people and relationships more than titles and demonstrated it by mentoring others. He focused on the project at hand and gained great personal satisfaction building teams at home, work, church, or in the community to solve any issue that arose.
He enjoyed many recreational activities including water sports, ATV riding, soccer, and traveling the world with his family. Cliff loved staying busy and was extremely personable, energetic, and admired by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Cliff was a humanitarian. Whether he was cleaning up the neighborhood, coaching youth athletic teams, donating his time and money to local charities, helping employees with personal challenges, or mentoring other contractors, Cliff was always helping and serving others. He truly lived what he believed, which is to love thy neighbor as thyself.
Cliff loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved serving in each capacity that he was called to serve including: elders quorum president, ward clerk, executive secretary, Scoutmaster, YSA Good Shepard, and activities leader. He felt a responsibility to use the blessings and resources granted to him to help others learn about Jesus Christ. Cliff has accepted the ultimate call to continue his service on the other side of the veil.
Cliff is remembered by hundreds and by his loving family who meant everything to him and he was eagerly looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild. He is survived by his loving wife, Regina Feichko Hokanson; their children, Jascka (Joe) Stephens, Ashkeya (Nate) Howes, Sasha Hokanson, Kade Hokanson; his parents, Don and Peggy Hokanson; his brothers, Don (Jeannine) Hokanson, Russell (Chikako) Hokanson, Craig (Emily) Hokanson; and brother-in-law, Aaron (Karen) Billin. His father-in-law, Jim (Clarice) Feichko; sister and brothers-in-law, Angel (Gian) Glesch, Jase (Annette) Feichko, Jade (Amanda) Feichko, Jarum (Staci) Feichko; and several beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is greeted in heaven by his sister, Cami Billin; grandparents, Charles “Chick” and Dollie Hokanson, Ralph and Katie “Kay” Gardner; mother-in-law, Caroline Feichko; and his niece, Shannon Hokanson.
