Clint Paul Richins

Our wonderful son Clint recently passed away, and our family is humbled by the great outpouring of love that has been expressed for this gentle giant of a man.

Born April 6, 1968, in Ogden, Utah to Paul Harvey Richins and Shari Beyer Richins, Clint was raised in Farmington, Utah, where he resided most of his life.

Clint was a true cowboy, and often said he was born 100 years too late. He owned and loved riding horses, even in rodeos. He was an avid reader, particularly of history. He could tell you almost anything you wanted to know about any event in the Civil War or World War II. He was a great outdoorsman, and loved to hunt, fish, camp, and hike in the mountains. Clint was a fantastic artist and shared his talents through the many pictures he drew for family and friends.

He worked at Lagoon for many years maintaining the rides, and was very proud that he had helped build the towering roller coaster called “Cannibal”.

Clint has two daughters, Bailey and Morgan, of whom he was so proud. He always talked of their accomplishments, which are many. You knew that he loved them very much, and they were the light of his life. He also loved his brother and sisters.

The things we will remember most about Clint are how humble, thoughtful, kind and generous he was. He would do anything for anyone, if he could. He never failed to tell us how much he loved us. He was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews. Clint was a great story teller, and had a lot of them. He had a contagious smile, laugh, and sense of humor. Clint was a lot of fun when he was in his “humor mode”.

Our hearts feel broken, and we will miss him so much. But we find comfort knowing that he is happy and rejoicing with loved ones on the other side. Clint loved his grandparents on both sides, and knew they loved him. We know they were there to greet him with open arms.

Clint is survived by his two daughters, Bailey and Morgan Crompton, his parents, Paul and Shari Richins, his siblings, Kelli Lynn Mitchell, Reagan Leigh Weaver, Rori Anne Boseman, Cole Beyer Richins (Kelli) and Brittany Shawn Walker (Jon), 16 nieces and nephews, and also his ex-wife and friend, Jerri Burns Crompton.

Clint’s services will be held Tuesday morning, February 6, 2018, at the Farmington LDS Rock Church, 272 North Main Street, at 11:00 am, with a viewing before from 9:30 – 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Farmington City Cemetery.
