Clive Shurtliff Wade

Clive S. Wade, our loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on Feb 2, 2017. He was born in Ogden, Utah to Orlando Clive Wade and Ida Shurtliff.  He attended Ogden High School and graduated from Brigham Young University.  He married Beth (Betty) Oliver in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Jan 16, 1948.  They were blessed with 5 children, Jim, Bob (Kathryn), Pat Rasmussen (Cory), Jan Belnap (Neal), Bill (Kim), 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.  Clive held many church callings and enjoyed working with the youth.  He loved to go backpacking with his family and friends.  He served in the Navy during WWII. He later served a mission with his wife in Hartford, Conn.  His wife, Betty, died Dec of 2000, and Clive married Dixie Gibbons. Clive and Dixie worked together in the temple and enjoyed traveling.  Preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters, and a great-granddaughter.  
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 11, 2007, at 2:00 pm at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N Main St, Bountiful. Visitation will be held prior to services at 12:45-1:45. Interment will be at the Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, you may donate in his name to the LDS Church Missionary Fund.
