Our hearts are broken with the passing of our sweet Sister, Aunt and Friend, Coleen “Coco” Kraus. Born September 11th, 1942 in Salt Lake City, to Roy and Rhoda Kraus, passed away on January 24th, 2021.
She was truly our angel here on earth. She was loved by all who knew her. You only meet a person like Coco once in a lifetime. After talking or being with her, your attitude was better and your day was brighter. She was an amazing lady, full of love, compassion and empathy. She always put others before herself and was accepting of everyone. Anyone who came into her home, immediately felt like family. She took care of her mother for many years during which they spent a lot of time traveling together and becoming best friends. She was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a deep and abiding testimony of her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. She spent 2 long years going to dialysis 3 times a week. She would say ” It’s my part time job, I just don’t get any money”. Survived by Siblings: Janet Kraus, Gary (Judy) Kraus, Jean (Nolan) Bellon, Buzz (Anna) Kraus, Judy Foste Kraus, and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Rhoda, and brother Terry Kraus.
Her motto was: Life should not be a journey to the grave, with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid sideways, CHOCOLATE in one hand and DIET COKE in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride”. That’s Our Coco…
A graveside service will be held for the family, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
