Colleen Potts

Collen M Potts, 79, passed away Tuesday evening, September 2, 2014, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer. She was born March 11, 1935 in Centerville, Utah to Allen and Maxine Tingey. She was one of four sisters and three brothers. She lived and loved her entire life in Centerville. Five of her six children – Jess Sturgeon, Ida White, Jean Beckham, Shelley Eder and Steva Ferris were born to her first husband, Jess B Sturgeon. Her sixth child, Kenny Bockholt, was adopted while married to her second husband, Harland K Potts. She loved her family which included her children and their spouses, 21 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She taught and exemplified unconditional love. Her home was always open to anyone in need; many of whom became family. She cherished her dogs, and they, too, have sensed her loss. She is preceded in death by both her parents, four siblings and her husbands. She is survived by all her children, their posterity, and her siblings – Anna Boulton, Roll Tingey and Karen Sherwood along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 N. Main Bountiful, UT on Saturday, September 6, 2014. The viewing will be at 1:00 pm and the service at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Centerville Cemetery.
