Collins V Maxfield

Collins V Maxfield, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away February 6th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Collins was born April 14th, 1941 in Provo, Utah to Avis Alberta Jacobsen and Vaughn Elijah Maxfield. Collins married his eternal companion Karen Joy Eddington on May 24th, 1961 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Collins and Karen were blessed with 5 wonderful children Karrie Mathewson (Kyle), Richard (Cindy) Maxfield, Dale Maxfield, Julie Cook (Travis), Tasha Fredrickson (Monte), 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and his siblings McKay and Patsy. Collins was preceded in death by his brother, Gary.

Collins established Chaparral Fire Protection in 1979 which is still a thriving successful business today. He retired in 2002 to spend time golfing, traveling with his loving companion, and enjoying precious moments with family and friends.

His profound love for the gospel touched so many lives around him. His light will always glow brightly in our hearts and he will truly be missed until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 10th, 2017 at 11:00 am with viewing Thursday evening February 9th from 6:00-8:00pm and Friday February 10th from 9:30-10:30am. Viewing and funeral services will be held at the Val Verda 2nd Ward, 3317 South 800 West, Bountiful, Utah.
