Connie Bangerter

May 27, 1925 — October 20, 2013

Our beautiful, dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend Connie Thompson Bangerter passed away peacefully Sunday October 20, 2013. She was born May 27, 1925 in Bountiful, Utah to Israel Ernest and Anna Marie Thompson. She married her sweetheart Jack Monson Bangerter on April 22, 1947 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Jack and Connie lived in Bountiful, Utah and raised 6 daughters and 2 sons. She served in many callings including Relief Society President, Primary President and Omaha, Nebraska Mission Mother. She supported Jack as he served as a Utah State Senator for 12 years. Her passion was always the gospel and her family. As her children we can truly say we were raised by goodly parents.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brother and husband. She is survived by her children Juliet (Lane), Peggy (Vaughn), Paul , John Mark, Sandra (Dan), Claudia (Steve), Jeannee (Kevin) and Elizabeth (Curtis); 30 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lenore Smedley.
The funeral will be held on Friday Oct. 25 at 11:00 am at the Bountiful 34th Ward Building 540 North 1250 East, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Thursday Oct. 24 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N Main, Bountiful. An additional viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 am at the church prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the LDS Missionary Fund.
