Connie Kay Baker

Connie Kay Hiller Baker, age 75, passed away May 13, 2019.  Born June 4, 1943 to Bernard Hiller and Elaine Trede in Council Bluffs, IA.  She married Ben Baker August 19, 1967 in Council Bluffs IA. whom she was married to for 12 years.  She worked for the University of Utah Hospital in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit as a tech where she retired after 25 years of dedicated service. Connie loved her job and those she worked with.  Connie loved the Utah Jazz and Utah Utes and tried to watch every game.  She also enjoyed gardening (eating fresh tomatoes), spending time with her pets (Little Dante, Bella and Shadow), reading the newspaper and any time she could be with her children and grandchildren. She specifically loved being with her family on their annual Christmas Eve dinner.  She is survived by her three children; Kevin (Jena) Baker, Margaret Baker and Charlene (Mike) Whipple, 7 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren, with 2 great-grandchildren on the way, and brother Bill Hiller.  She is preceded in death by her sister Karen Miller, and her parents Bernard and Elaine Hiller.  As a family we are grateful for the compassionate care provided by those at the Avalon Care Center of Bountiful.  A celebration of life for Connie will take place for immediate family members on June 22 on Boulder Mountain Utah where her ashes will be spread.
