Connor Flannery

Biography

Connor Mark Flannery departed this mortal existence into the loving arms of his Savior, on Saturday October 25, 2014. Born on May 8, 1986 to J. Mark and Becky Flannery, he became their sixth child having four older sisters and a big brother. Connor was an active infant and child, full of energy and seeking adventure as he started his journey through life. Tall, handsome and athletic his passion for life was like an overflowing fountain, making its own course and rules as it flowed freely. Full speed was his jaunt, inviting all to join if they could keep up. Soccer, baseball, basketball and football came easy, and provided achievement and friendships too many to mention. Energetic, kind and loyal to the family and friends he loved was the nature of this 6′ 5″ tall young man. He grew up in North Salt Lake and Centerville where he graduated from Viewmont High School. A member of the LDS Church, he served with the young men and loved coaching their basketball team, he was also an Eagle Scout. Connor met his soul mate Ashley Bauman and they were married in the Bountiful Temple on September 19, 2009, for Time and All Eternity. A gentle giant, he was an amazing husband and father who loved playing with his son Dax. Although Connor may not be able to fulfill all his dreams and plans, his influence and watchful eye will still remain, always watching over those he loves. Ashley will miss her best friend, as will Connor’s children and family, but knowing this separation is only a moment in the eternities to come, when at that special time and place his smile and huge embrace will again lift us. His tenderness and laughter, we will keep here with us, the rest has progressed on to prepare a place for all Connor loved. Survived by his wife, Ashley Elizabeth Flannery, son Daxton Connor Flannery, daughter Kali Elizabeth Flannery; parents Mark and Becky Flannery (Centerville), sisters Dyon and Kyle Thomas (Bountiful), Amber and Dan Seely (Syracuse), Erin and Tracy Hokum (Syracuse), Ashlee Flannery (Draper) and brother Jerry and Heather Flannery (Centerville); Steve, Susan and Cody Bauman (Centerville) Bryce and Shawnee Bauman (Morgan); Grandparents Jerry and Dodie Flannery (St. George) Donna Defa Judd (Bountiful); his special buddy Anthony Mills (Bountiful); and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces who loved him dearly. Preceded in death by Grandma Barb Flannery and Grandpa Harry Defa.
