Our beloved son and brother, Corey Anderson, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes due to undiagnosed coronary artery disease.
Corey was born in South Korea and adopted into our family at the age of five. He was a joyful child and excelled in academics and athletics. He graduated with high honors from Viewmont High School and attended Brigham Young University on a scholarship. He served an LDS mission in Arcadia, California.
Wherever Corey worked in his life, he was a stellar employee. He found his greatest fulfillment in his most recent position as a psychiatric technician at Bridge House residential treatment center in Farmington.
Corey will be remembered for his heart-warming smile and the meticulous way he navigated his time on earth. We will always admire his discipline, tenacity, work ethic, and dedication to living a principled life.
Corey is survived by his parents: Julie Simmonds Anderson and James C. and Karyn Anderson. He is also survived by 15 siblings: Aimee (Matthias) Anderson, Brady (Jenny) Anderson, Whitny (Brooke) Anderson, Katie (Greg) Pettey, Jon (Sarah) Anderson, Tony (Desra) Anderson, Jason (Stacie) Trevino, Ryan Anderson, Jared (Brooke) Trevino, Linsey (Lamar) Holley, Shelly Anderson, Tia Uzelac, Tiana (J.C.) Liljenquist, Ali Trevino, and Tyson Trevino. Corey was a favorite uncle to 44 nieces and nephews and one great-nephew.
