Cory Duane Price

April 24, 1969 — January 29, 2016

Cory Duane Price, a devoted husband, father, and friend returned to his Heavenly Father January 29, 2016 at the age of 46 suddenly during surgery.

He was born April 24, 1969, the fourth child of Terry and Patricia Stratford Price in Richfield, Utah. He grew up in Bountiful, Utah with his siblings Terri-Lynn, Jeff, and Paul. He graduated from Bountiful High in 1987. He then served an LDS mission to Columbus, Ohio from 1988-1990. He attended Weber state where he met his first wife Lisa Malloy. They had two children Camren and Mitchal whom he adored and from then on he knew his calling in life was to be an amazing father. Which he was to all six of his children.

He graduated from Weber state with a Bachelor's of Science and a Certification for Managerial Accounting. He won an award for having the highest test score for the CMA exam as a student and got his Master's in Business Administration.

Cory met his current wife Holly on a blind date with their kids in 2005 and knew instantly they were meant to be together. They were married on Sept 16, 2005. They were sealed in the Bountiful temple on July 14, 2007. Holly had two girls from a previous marriage Savannah (Eagar) and Chelsea (Eagar) who Cory welcomed as his own. They also had two more children together, Meaghan and Aubrey.

He worked as a Senior Regional Controller at Liberty Tire Recycling in North Salt Lake. When he started traveling with the company he got the traveling bug and was fortunate enough to take his wife and kids on many fun vacations including, Mexico, Bahamas cruise, Disney World in which he ran the Disney Marathon (something that had been on his bucket list), Texas, Oregon, California. He loved driving the coast from San Francisco to Newport Beach, and many many more. Just in the last few months Cory and Holly survived Hurricane Patricia together on their trip to Mexico for their 10 year anniversary. They were also able to accompany his daughter Mitchal back to her mission in Tijuana, Mexico. It was an amazing experience. These trips provided treasured memories for the family that will always remind them of Cory's love for them.

He always put his family first and enjoyed just being with them even if it meant just snuggling on the bed with them or hanging out at the family cabin in Brighton. He loved back tickles, Star Wars, Nickelback Fridays at work, Coke Zero, Cinnamon Bears, and the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in many callings including Primary Teacher (for 10 years straight), Elder's quorum teacher, Sunday School teacher, and Nursery leader (which he swore is the "best calling in the church").  If you were someone he cared about he would go to the ends of the earth for you. He liked to take care of people financially and would often insist on picking up the entire tab at a restaurant or movie or whatever the event was. His generosity was boundless.

He is survived by his wife Holly, their children Camren, Mitchal (Ryker Garrett fiancé), Savannah, Chelsea, Meaghan, and Aubrey, and their dog Jack (his best friend); his mother Patricia Stratford Price, his siblings Terri-Lynn Bowen (Eric), Jeff (Mary), and Paul (Cassandra). He is preceded in death by his beloved father Terry Richard Price.

Funeral services will be held on Friday February 5, 2016 at 11:00am South Weber Mountain View Chapel 2620 East 8200 So, South Weber Utah. A viewing will held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Bountiful, Utah on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 6-8pm and the day of the service from 9:30-10:45am at the church.  Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
