Craig Lewis Bybee, born July 27, 1947 in Farmington, Utah, unexpectedly died in his home in Bountiful, Utah, on October 5, 2024.
Craig was 77 years old and died of natural causes. He was widowed to Deborah Ann Hickenbotham Bybee, whom was a caring and dedicated partner to him throughout their 49 years of marriage.
He is survived by two sons, Jason and Shawn (Sara), and three grandsons, Jacob, Christopher, and Andrew. Craig attended Davis High school (1965 graduate), Weber State University, and the University of Utah where he completed his Masters degree in art history.
He worked as an architect at a firm in Salt Lake City until his retirement in 2000. In his free time, he created countless works of art with colored pencil and pastels, some of which won awards at local art shows.
To his children, he was their staunch supporter of soccer, karate, baseball, basketball, piano, and trumpet. To his spouse, he was a deeply caring partner who spent virtually all of his free time next to her in her final weeks.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2024 at Farmington City Cemetery, 200 East 500 South, Farmington, Utah, 84025.
