Craig Neil Keddington, born on November 21, 1954, passed away May 3, 2022. After battling cancer for five years, he passed peacefully surrounded by those who loved him.
Craig was born in Salt Lake City to J. Martin and Elda Page Keddington. He grew up in Bountiful, Utah, in what he calls the best neighborhood ever, with so many friends. Craig was number five of seven brothers. He often said his parents and brothers were his idols.
Craig grew up working with his dad and brothers at his dad’s service station. With his mom and the rest of the family, he would deliver the Salt Lake Tribune throughout Bountiful. At the young age of 15, Craig started plumbing with Sam and Mike Holbrook, he blames them and thanks them for his profession. He worked as a plumber the rest of his life. Craig wants to thank all of his employers, especially his most recent employer UMC, who supported and helped him during his illness.
When Craig was 19, he met his wife and love of his life Teri just months prior to leaving for his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a faithful mission in Scotland and teased his first order of business in heaven would be to ensure Scotland receives a Temple. Upon his return, Craig and Teri dated for a year before being sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple, on February 3, 1978. Craig would tell you Teri is as beautiful today as the day they met. Craig and Teri were blessed with three wonderful children, Cassie Foster (Jeremy), Luke (Jessica), Marti, four beautiful granddaughters Kaylee, Ellie, Carli and Daisy and the most beautiful dog Creed.
Craig is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, best dog ever, brothers and spouses Julie (Alan deceased), Lynn and Peg, Grant and Helen, Dale and Shauna, Blair and Michele, Gary and Holly and all of his nieces and nephews. He has been blessed with many friends who are like family, he wants to thank you all for being there when we needed you.
Craig wanted to share a few words of advice for those who know him: “Sing in the choir, sing in the car, sing in the shower. Even if you don’t think you can sing do it anyway. Love your families. I’ll see you at the first tee.”
