Cruz Dalberto Castellanos Rojo suddenly passed away on May 26, 2011 of a brain aneurism. He was born on June 16, 1988 to Josefina Rojo Lomeli and Sergio Castellanos in Los Angeles, California. The family moved to Utah in 1993. Cruz attended elementary and junior high schools in Ogden. He attended Bonneville High School and studied welding at Job Corps. He liked posole, movies, old cars, boxing, martial arts, swimming, weight lifting and dreamed of being an ultimate fighter. He played football in school and had a desire to join the Marines. He was well known by his family friends as a jokester. He was raised with many aunts, uncles and cousins. He loved his mother, brothers, sister and daughter. Cruz was a kind and loving friend and was able to find fun in anything he was doing. He loved his job at Shamrock Plumbing and was known to play often with Blake. He loved to read, learn about anything including the gospel. He liked to meet new people. Cruz was baptized into the LDS faith in 2010. He was active in the Farmington Hills Young Single Adult Ward. One of his favorite trips was the YSA trip to Nauvoo. He received the priesthood during that trip at Adam-ondi-Ahman. He was a friend to all and a favorite in the ward. He is survived by his mother Josefina Rojo Lemeli, brothers Victor, Oscar, sister Diana and Esme Castellanos, his daughter. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Rosa Lomeli and grandfather Gonzalo Rojo. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31 at the LDS Fairways Chapel, 1533 N 1075 W, Farmington, UT. Friends and family may visit from 9:00 to 10:30 at the chapel prior to the service. His wish was to be free and live near the mountains. Interment will be in the Morgan City cemetery.
