Dale Broadbent Loveridge

December 8, 1931 — June 21, 2016

Dale Broadbent Loveridge passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Tuesday June 21, 2016. He was born December 8, 1931 in Lehi, Utah. Dale married the love of his life and eternal partner Nada Smith Loveridge in the Salt Lake Temple on September 14, 1951.   He was a generous and loving Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.   He graduated from the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy in 1954.  Dale bought Orchard Drug in North Salt Lake June 15, 1959.   He built a successful business oriented toward the personal service of his customers. He knew and greeted everyone by name.  As a pharmacist he worked hard, put customers first and was a good listener.  He worked 12 hours each day, 6 days a week for 57 years in that store.   He lived his life victoriously. He worked all day Friday and Saturday. Sunday was spent at Church and enjoying dinner with his family. His body shut down quickly Monday and by Tuesday night he was reunited with his wife in Heaven.  His wish was to work until he died. He did just that.  He literally wore his body out doing what he loved.  We wish to express sincere gratitude to his loyal customers, current and former dedicated employees for helping make his dream become a reality.

Dale was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in Sunday School presidencies, as a ward financial clerk and a dedicated Home Teacher.  He was pleased to have many family members serve missions and has a Granddaughter and Great Grandson currently serving missions.  He made many wonderful memories with his family at Lake Powell where he enjoyed boating, sight seeing, and skiing.  Our Dad enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada with family in tow.  He had season tickets to BYU basketball games for over 50 years and enjoyed many years of the football games.  Many children and grandchildren attended with him because of his generosity.  His work ethic, dependability and generosity were hallmarks of his life.

Survived by four children:  Sherry Trimble, Terry Dodds (Dave), Lynette Berven (John) & Eric Dale Loveridge (Miki), 15 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, two sisters JoAnn Phipps, Valene Brunner (John) and one brother Robert Loveridge (Mary Ellen).
Preceded in death by his wife Nada Smith Loveridge, son-in-law Dale Trimble, parents Thomas LeRoy & Thora Broadbent Loveridge and brother Sherman Loveridge.
