Dale always considered himself a farmer, though as young man he worked for Union Pacific Railroad. In 1957 he was hired by the U.S. Postal Dept. He spent ten years in the Railway Postal Service until the Post Office cars were taken off the trains. He had worked out of Salt Lake and transferred to the SLC Post Office in 1967. During his years at the P.O., Dad and Mom made their home in Bountiful until his retirement in 1985, when they returned to Rockland to farm.
In 1987, Dad and Mom served an LDS Mission at the Chicago, Illinois Temple returning to their home in 1988.
In 1998 Dad and Mom moved to West Haven, Utah to be closer to the medical services Mom needed. Mom passed away November 4, 2004.
Dad was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters, his wife, Theona, his son, Chad, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Jim & Peggy, West Haven, Vance & Carolyn, Clinton, Dennis & Michelle, Bountiful, David & Jana, Perry, and Lee Ann & Mark Tebbs, Cedar Hills. He has 32 surviving grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
His older sister, Fern Udy of American Falls, Idaho also survives him.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Asena Itaaehau and her family for the loving care they gave their father
