Dana Lynn Dykhuizen was born October 9, 1972 in Provo, Utah to Peggy Duncan and Everet Dkyhuizen, Jr. She passed away March 9, 2015 in West Bountiful, Utah.
Dana was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved attending Institute and Special Needs Mutual, where she had many friends. Dana was a missionary at heart and loved serving as a service missionary. She was faithful in researching her family history. She loved participating in Special Olympics in many of the events. She often proudly displayed the medals she won! Recently, she enrolled in a karate class and added this sport as a favorite activity. Dana was outgoing and social making new friends with people everywhere. She had an unconditional love for those with whom she came in contact. She is now on her long awaited mission in heaven.
Surviving relatives include her mother, Peggy Padilla; sisters, Denise (Steve) Mason, and Daniela (Cameron) Rauenhorst; nephews: Mason, Matthew, and Max; and many aunts and uncles. Dana is preceded in death by her father, and Grandma and Grandpa Dykhuizen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2015 at the West Bountiful 10th Ward, 1730 North 900 West, West Bountiful. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Friday morning 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Centerville City Cemetery.
