Daniel Raymond Shepherd

August 25, 1938 — May 11, 2019

Daniel Raymond Shepherd passed away May 11, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 28, 1938.  He was the son of Esther Teerlink and Raymond Shepherd.  He served honorably in the Air Force during the Korean War.  He visited many foreign countries while in the Air Force.  While stationed in France he met his wife, Christine Lallet, in her home town of Limoges.  They were married in Chateauroux, France.  

Dan retired from Hill Air Force Base after 35 years as an aircraft mechanic.  He then worked at the Utah Auto Auction for a few years.  

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.  He was a master fisherman, and an avid gardener. His vegetables were amazing.

He is survived by his wife, Christine, two sons, Mike and Sidney.  Four grandsons, Chad, Shane, Mitch and Trevor.  Four great grandchildren, Jasmine, Jacelyn, Jaylyn, and Jaycee.   Also siblings, Pat Billis, Elenora Touchette, Sylvia Purdy, Charlotte Andrus, Lynn Shepherd, Alan Bassett, Dexter Bassett, and Gary Penney.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Step Dad Dexter Bassett and Esther Bassett, and Raymond Shepherd.   Two Brothers, Carl Shepherd, and Don Bassett, and his beloved poodle Bijou.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6-8pm at Russon Mortuary 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, UT, and from 9:30 -10:30am on Friday, May 17, prior to the graveside service at 11:00 at the Farmington City Cemetery.
