Danuel Owen Zismer

It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to our beloved Dan Zismer on October 27, 2024. Dan's passing was without warning at the University of Utah Medical Center. For many years he bravely endured illness and was a fearless example to us all. Dan was a loving husband to Tracy Maxwell, his best friend and soul mate. A father to Ben (Wendi), Ronnie, Adam, and Danny. Grandfather to Trinitee (Brayden) Hunter, Jacob, Jazmine, and Ronnie Jr. Son-in-law to Beth. Brother-in-law to Dan (Marsha). Big brother to Darren (Maia) and Jen (Cody). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Dan is preceded in death by his father Daymon, mother Helen, son Ronnie, brother Dave, father-in-law Ziggy. 

His positive attitude, quick wit, smile, and gracious spirit was ever present in his life with his family and friends. Dan was there to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He loved travel and adventure. Baseball (the New York Yankee’s), music, watching sunsets, but most of all just spending time with family. Dan was an Eagle Scout, and proud of his 36 years of sobriety.

A Graveside Service will be held at The Salt Lake City Cemetery on Tuesday, November 5th at 11:00am. Please dress comfortably and casual. Memories may be shared in the "Guestbook" on this obituary page.
