Darla Diane Davids Harward

August 28, 1956 — January 24, 2016

Darla Diane Davids Harward died on Sunday, 24 January 2016 at Lakeview Hospital, Bountiful, Utah at the age of 59.  She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael Conrad Harward and her four children: April, Chris (Kelli), Collin (Rachel), & Curtis.  She also leaves behind six grandsons: Canyon, Braxton, Tanner, Gage, Maxwell & Barrett.  Her mother Phebe June Davids and brothers Lawrence, Lyle (Rosie), Lynn & Wayne (Michelle) are residents of Burley, Idaho.  Her father Ira James "Dern" Davids and two infant siblings have predeceased her.  Darla was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She worked for the Davis County School District for 28 years, working with children with special needs.  She spent many hours in volunteering in support capacities for several organizations, including South Davis Youth Soccer, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep & the Chesterfield Foundation.  She loved her family and working with the children of the community. She showed great understanding and empathy for children in need of extra care or in difficult circumstances.  She will be greatly missed by her family and all who loved her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Val Verda 5th Ward, 2633 South 50 West, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Saturday morning 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. In lieu of flowers, an account will be set up at America First Credit Union in Darla's name for local charities.
