David Blaine Hansen

David Blaine Hansen was born November 10, 1953 in Salt Lake City, UT and passed away on January 23, 2023. Dave was the son of Dan Kirk Hansen and Dorothy May Kirk. He married Melony Moses on July 30, 1975 in the Salt Lake City Temple by Dave’s father Dan Kirk Hansen.

He was known to be the neighborhood handyman. The weekends were spent helping around the neighborhood and working in the yard and his mom and dad’s yard with his two sons. The month of November was dedicated to making Melony’s famous Christmas candleholder tradition. He spent the majority of his professional life in the construction industry and passed on his love of building and fixing things to his two sons. Every Saturday he enjoyed his Chili’s lunch date with Melony until his health made it no longer possible. He loved spending what time he could with his children and grandchildren and always wished he had been able to go and do more things with them. Even with his health issues he was always the voice of reason and peacemaker in the home. 

We will miss his calm demeanor and strong spirit that he brought into his home. We will continue to honor the beautiful life he lived and carry on his legacy. 

Dave is survived by his wife Melony and their five children, Krystal, Holly, Adam (Jesse), Alex (Tania) and Stacy (Brian) and nine grandchildren, Bryson, Auria, Landon, Jett, Adelaide, Collins, Finley, Teagan, and Quincey with one more on the way.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am January 27^th, 2023 at the LDS Meetinghouse at 1533 N 1075 W Farmington UT, 84025. A viewing will be held prior to the services at the same location from 9:30-10:30am.

Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page. The live stream will begin about 10-15 minutes prior to the services and will be posted below.
