David Emerson Krogue

March 17, 1933 — November 2, 2017

David Krogue followed his loving wife Sheila to the other side on November 2, 2017 after heart problems and loneliness. Dave was born March 17, 1933 and grew up in Salt Lake City as the oldest of four children. He grew up fixing cars and anything someone needed him to work on.

After four years in the Navy and the Marines, he went to work at Sperry Univac and was set up on a blind date with his beloved Sheila, whom he married on February 11, 1961. They adopted three children and raised them in the Val Verda area of Bountiful, Utah. He was a mail carrier and worked his passion of fixing cars into running the fleet of 55 vehicles for the Bountiful Post Office.

As a handyman, Dave scoured the local DI almost daily for parts and projects to help family, friends, and neighbors. He served in ward and stake callings and three service missions with Sheila. They even tackled three years on the Bountiful Parade Committee.

David is survived by son Ken Krogue and his wife Crystal, son-in-law David Schultz, and son Jon Krogue and wife Bryce. They have eleven grandkids with six great grandchildren and one on the way.

David is preceded in death by his wife Sheila, daughter Allison Schultz, and parents Emerson David and Alice Emmett Krogue. He was also the only surviving sibling with his sister Karolyn Frenette, and brothers Phillip Krogue and Peter Krogue preceding him to the other side.

The family would like to thank Lakeview Hospital and it's staff for the excellent care that was given to David and his family in his final days.

A viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary in Bountiful on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.   Preceding the funeral on Saturday November 11th, there will be a viewing from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at the Bountiful Shadows Ward at 1476 North 300 West, Bountiful, Utah.  The funeral will follow at 1:00 pm.
