David Kimball Larsen (Kim), passed away peacefully on October 25, 2016. He was born January 11, 1956 in Ogden, Utah to Clarence Michael Larsen and Melissa Jane Olsen.
Kim served in the Navy during the Vietnam War and was proud of his service to our country. He was a passionate man who enjoyed painting. He worked as an aircraft painter for Hill Air Force Base and was the owner of D. Kim Larsen Painting. Kim was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, most recently as a Sunday school teacher. He had an unwavering testimony of the gospel and was a wonderful example to everyone around him. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He also loved dancing, fishing and going for walks. He was a loving father, grandfather, neighbor and friend to all, always striving to serve those around him.
Kim was extremely loving and proud of his three daughters, Theresa Hagler (JT) of Roy, Christine Merkley (Micah) of Layton, Jessica Moon (Chris) of Bountiful and his beautiful grandchildren Ashlyn and Korbin Merkley. Kim is survived by his two sisters Jerry Dean (Blair) of Willard, Michelle Sims (Duayne) of Soda Springs and his two brothers Gil of Oregon and Richard (Shirley) of Ogden, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Janie Youngkeit.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Orchard Ward Chapel, 1533 North 1075 West, Farmington, UT 84025. Kim's family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, October 28, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, and also on Saturday October 29, from 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to funeral services. Kim will be laid to rest at Kaysville Cemetery, 500 Crestwood Road, Kaysville, UT 84037 immediately following the funeral services.
