David Manley Waggoner
1948 ~ 2015
David Manley Waggoner, while staying optimistic and happy, was taken by Alzheimer’s disease on November 30, 2015 in Centerville Utah.
Born on January 22, 1948 to William Waggoner & Ellen Waggoner in Salt Lake City, he spent most of his time here in Utah. He graduated high school at Granger High School in 1966, then in 1967 he got his mission calling to serve in South America. He served the Andes South Mission, which covered Bolivia and Peru (Zion). He returned from his mission and went to the University of Utah and Weber State and worked toward his degree in accounting. He then began his career in the trucking industry as a line dispatcher. David was extremely easy to get along with and anyone that was lucky enough to know him would agree that his happiness and enthusiasm was infectious and loved being around him. You rarely caught David in a bad mood and was quick to start a conversation about his favorite subjects: music, movies, or his puppies Chloe, Marley, or Boing.
David will be missed greatly by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Colleen, his sister Tassy (Chuck), his son Zack Waggoner, his daughters Katherine Waggoner, Tori Principe, and Allie Moreno, his step son Colson McCloy, his step daughters, Nicole Rasmussen, JeNae Borner, Kristen Montague, 4 grand kids, cousins, and nieces and nephews. He will be greeted in heaven by his son Matthew Waggoner, and numerous other friends and family members.
The funeral services will be held on Thursday December 3rd at 11:00 am at the Centerville 7th Ward church located at 270 N. 300 E. Centerville, Utah, where friends and family may gather from 10-10:45 prior to the services.
