David Sorensen

David Allyn Sorensen

David Allyn Sorensen passed away July 7, 2013 after a long illness. He was born July 18, 1940 to Vera and Lewis Sorensen in Redmond, Utah. He married Rita Knight in 1966. They were later divorced.

Dave had a great sense of humor and was as witty as they come. He had a contagious belly laugh. He was heavily involved in high school sports and remained an avid sportsman throughout his life. He served in the military as an air traffic controller.

Dave graduated from Weber State University. He was a very successful businessman and owned his own company for years. His grandchildren were the light of his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Lewis, a brother Stephen, and a son Travis.

Survivors include his sister Mavis Hales of Bountiful, Utah, a daughter Michelle (Scott) Hogensen of Orem, Utah and a son, Ryan Sorensen of Farmington, Utah. He has three beautiful grandchildren, Derek, Travis and Olivia.

A private service will precede burial at Camp Williams.
