Dean James Edwards

Dean James Edwards, dedicated husband, father, and grandpa, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 29, 2021. He was born on Flag Day, June 14, 1957, a birthday he shared with his father throughout a life filled with countless joys. Among many other things, Dean loved a good western film, a good boat ride, and a good political joke.

Above everything else, his deep love for his family was the driving force of his life’s work, and thus the sacrifice and love on their behalf was a clear and present priority in his life. He ran a successful pest control company for nearly 40 years; his generosity and patience set him apart in the business world. Dean had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ which was reflected in the service for his family, his eloquent prayers, as well as in his church callings where he served faithfully.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of 40 years this month, Ronda, his brother Steve (Pattie) Edwards, his five children: Tyson (Cierra) Edwards, Riley (KaDee) Edwards, Brayden (Tiffany) Edwards, Taylor Edwards, Alysha (Brandon) Jeppson, and 8 grandchildren: Ruby, Elsie, Daxton, Cambree, Eli, Briggs, Raelyn and Tate. He was preceded in death by both parents, Maeser and Artis Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the chapel located at 165 S 1000 E, Bountiful, Utah, followed by a graveside service at the Bountiful Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, June 3, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main St, Bountiful, UT. A brief viewing will be held prior to the funeral services at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
