1927 ~ 2016
Dean Stock Cook, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 30, 2016. His loving wife of 69 years and eternal companion, Helen, was at his side.
Born January 11, 1927, in Garden City, Utah to Clarence and Ethel Stock Cook. Dean had a happy childhood and youth and loved his home by the beautiful Bear Lake. He often spoke of his love for his father’s family ranch in Meadowville, Utah and recalled great lessons and memories.
In 1944, Dean joined the U.S. Navy and honorably served during World War II. He often said, “mother prayed me through the war.” Dean and Helen Poulsen were married and sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah LDS temple. He graduated with a B.S. from Utah State University. He was hard working and industrious his entire life. Early in his career he was a teacher and principal, farmer, and insurance salesman. Dean never retired and for the majority of his professional life was known for his integrity as he built and managed successful real estate, construction, and rental property businesses.
As a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dean faithfully lived and taught the restored gospel.
