She was 87 years old. She passed on to her Heavenly Home surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Mom was born in the family home. She was the last born in a family of 9 children. Mom was also the last of the children to pass on through the veil. Mom graduated from North Cache High school.
As a young girl she would make dolls from Holly Hocks, they were many colors and sizes. She would also make dolls from clothes pins and from handkerchiefs. In the wintertime when the pond froze over she would grab her ice skates and head to the pond, she became an avid skater. When us kids came along she would take us skating and show us how accomplished she had become.
Mom was selfless and compassionate. She would visit the widows in the area, take them shopping and helped them clean their homes and work their gardens. She would take us along to help on the larger projects. We loved to go with her. She was an angel
Mom was a compassionate and devoted visiting teacher always connecting with her partner and giving a thought after the visit was over. This was something she always looked forward to every month.
DeAnn was an immaculate housekeeper. She had a schedule she would stick to: Mondays washing, Tuesday Ironing, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday cleaning the whole house and working in the yard. When us kids would head to school with our beds unmade and our rooms a mess. We would come home to find she had made our beds and cleaned our rooms. She was a proud daughter of the Utah Pioneers where she was a member until the day she died. She served in the Ogden Temple for many years and looked forward to her Temple service.
Dad said she was a fantastic dancer. They met at the Elite dance Hall in Hyrum. Dad proposed to mom while attending the Golden spike Rodeo. He wanted to propose on bended knee but there was to much manure so he had to stand. They have been happily married for the past 66 years. But most of all she was the best wife and mother we could have asked for.
She is survived by her Dear husband who was always her side. Their Daughter Janette (Dave Smith], Teri Lyn Furse (Paul), Sherry George (Brett). They have 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. They also have a grandson, Kody the second grandchild, who died at the age of 44, who loved mom and dad.
