Debra Ann Hodges

January 7, 1975 — December 28, 2024

Debra passed away at home in Murray Utah on the morning of the 28th due to heart failure.

Born to Verna Dene Atkinson in Bountiful Utah, Debra was an energetic child with a thirst for fun and good humor. A graduate of the University of Utah with a BS in Psychology, she worked in information technology when she met the love of her life Jeremy Hodges.

Jeremy and Debra were married after a vibrant courtship in the Bountiful Temple on July 8th 2000. Jeremy fell in love with her sense of adventure, love of dancing, sweet spirit and innate kindness. It was not long before they were joined by their son Spencer in February 2002. Spencer mirrors Debra’s helpfulness, intellectual curiosity, and has a gifted mind. Their joy over being parents and love for one another spilled over into another cherished addition to their family. Natalya, who exemplifies her mother’s skills in social vibrance and broad sense of humor, was born on New Year’s Day 2004.Debra’s family will remember her for being a fighter.

Having fought difficult health issues for more than twenty years. Despite all her troubles and difficulties, Debra’s wish was for it to be known that she fought hard, never gave up and she always tried.

She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Hodges; children Spencer and Natalya, Dan and Heather Atkinson, Donald and Toni Atkinson, and Derek Atkinson.
