Debra Jo Hall lost her courageous battle with ALS on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the age of 57 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Melvon Curtis and Jeanine Sax Jensen, born April 21, 1960 in Salt Lake City. She moved several times in her childhood from Oklahoma, Florida, New Jersey and Illinois where she became an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She moved to Bountiful, Utah at the age of 12 and graduated from Viewmont High School. Prior to her graduation from high school, she earned her cosmetology license. She attended the University of Utah where she met her eternal companion, David Jack Hall, and they were married on March 19, 1980 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various callings throughout her lifetime. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano, organ and singing in many choirs. She was an amazing seamstress and cook she enjoyed planning and entertaining for her family and friends. Her life was filled with selfless service and she blessed the lives of all who came in contact with her. Her kindness and pure Christ-like love was felt by all and she had the patience of Job.
She worked at Davis High School as the counseling secretary and registrar. She loved her job and all of the students and faculty she had the opportunity to meet and work with over the many years. She was a Davis Dart through and through.
Debra is survived by her husband, David, children Kayleen (Jon) Wilson, Jason (Alicia) Hall, Rachel (Dan) Eskelson, Spencer (Annie) Hall, Bryce (Aubrie) Hall and 12 grandchildren, parents M. Curtis and Jeanine Jensen, siblings, Brent (Evelyn) Jensen, Terri (Grant) Ostler, Carolee (Rich) Arave, and Brian Jensen.
We want to thank all of the friends, family, and neighbors for all of their support and help. We would also like to thank all of the CNAs and nurses from South Davis Homecare and Hospice, who have taken such good care of Mom. We couldn’t have done it without them.
