Dee Ann Peterson Rowe, our beautiful mother, grandmother, and spouse, died August 2, 2015 in Bountiful, Utah after fighting cancer for nearly two years. She was born May 6, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Raymond Peterson and Ella Louise Karren. We extend our gratitude to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the loving care she received from the doctors, nurses, and home health care nurses. As she passed she was surrounded by her four children and her loving husband. She is survived by her former husband, Don Robert Flora (divorced), preceded by her husband Brent Cardwell, and survived by her current husband Kent Rowe. Her family moved to California when she was thirteen years old, where she remained and raised her family. A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she faithfully served in many callings in the church including three senior missions in Massachusetts, Georgia, and Albania. She loved being a California early morning seminary teacher for eight years and taught gospel doctrine classes for several years. She also served the youth of the church in many callings including several dance festivals and roadshows. She joyfully guided and shared in the faithful lives of four children, Jenelle Lynn Cox (Mark), Jeffrey Scott Flora (Kathryn), Scott Randall Flora (Paige), and Mont Raymond Flora (Robyn), seventeen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother – Karen Pearson Campbell (Mavin), Merilee Hagen (Clay), and Bruce Peterson (Diane). She is preceded in death by her sister Lorene Peterson.
Dee Ann also leaves behind many step-children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved her beyond measure. She was a very talented woman and will be greatly missed until we meet again.
