Del Roy Bangerter

Del Roy (Del) Bangerter, 89, of Centerville, Utah, passed away February 8, 2022. Del was born to Omer and Lydia Y. Bangerter on January 14, 1933 in Salt lake City, Utah. He has two brothers and one sister. Junior, Ron, and Beverly. Also, two nephews who were like brothers, Dee and Lee Bangerter.

Del graduated from Davis High School in 1951. In the same year, he married Fern Clark, later divorced. They had six children: Kent, Kipp, Todd, Daren, Sue, and Rhet.

He married Rauna Lynn Allred on June 18, 1971, later solemnized in the Bountiful Temple.

Del was a hard worker. He delivered milk for Bountiful Dairy for many years. He owned a glass company, an upholstery company, a gas station, and a used car lot. He sold insurance, worked a farm in Canada , and worked for Sears Roebuck in California where he taught skiing in the parking lot. In 1967, he started Bountiful RV, which was in business for over 50 years.

He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was a missionary for the church in the Great Lakes Mission from 1953-1955.

He loved spending time with his many friends golfing, fishing, and hunting.

Del is survived by his wife Rauna, his brother Ron (Carol), his sister Beverly Lee, his nephew Dee (Mary) and his six children, Kent (Cathy), Kipp (Wendy), Todd (Julie), Daren (Sally), Sue (Wells) Barker and Rhet (CinDee).

Del was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Junior, nephew Lee, sisters-in-law Jean and Opal, his brother-in-law Jay D. Lee, and two grandchildren Taylor and Katie.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,Tuesday, February15, 2022 at the Rolling Hills Chapel, 210 East 1825 North, Centerville, UT, preceded by a viewing from 9:00- 9:45 a.m. A viewing will also be held at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, UT, Monday February 14th from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
