Dennis Irvin Scott passed away at home in the early morning hours of April 21, 2021 from a neurological disorder. He was 76 years old.
Dad was a gentleman and a gentle man. He was born in Blackfoot, Idaho on March 17, 1945 to Garland Irvin Scott and Retta Howell. He later moved to Bountiful, Utah where he grew up and graduated from Bountiful High. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Juliene Moss. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Dennis graduated from the University of Utah in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Dennis ran a successful construction business. After retirement he found a hidden talent and passion in substitute teaching and loved teaching in the Davis County School District.
Dennis was a true disciple of Jesus Christ and spiritual giant to many. He bore his testimony often and took every opportunity to testify of the Savior
Dennis is survived by his loving wife who cared for him tirelessly and waited on him his whole life. He is survived by his children, Jeff (Carrie) Scott, Shelby (Shawn) Smith and Heather Stevens; sisters, Teresa (Richard) Woodland, Kathleen (Jim) Anderson, Alene (Kelly) Larsen and Margo Parry. He was preceded in death by his daughter Natalie and his mother and father. He had thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Russon Mortuary and Crematory, 1941 North Main Street, Farmington, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10:30 am to 11:45 am. Interment following services at Bountiful City Cemetery.
