Dennis Munroe Ferrell

Dennis Munroe Ferrell was born on December 18, 1936 in Salt Lake City Utah and passed away on January 9, 2019.  Dennis was the son of Isaac Munroe and Edna Ethel (Billie) Ferrell.  He married Carol Terry on June 24, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple.  They are the parents of four children Deborah Ann Pope (Mike), D. Terry Ferrell (Alisha), Douglas Scott Ferrell (Michelle), and Leisa Milton (Matt).  Dennis grew up in Rose Park and attended West High School where he served as Senior Class President. He attended the University of Utah where he participated in track and field.  Dennis and Carol establish their home in Salt Lake City and later moved to Bountiful where they resided for over 50 years. Dennis had a long career working for the Federal Government in Civil Service and the Utah Air National Guard where he retired.  He also was very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving a mission in the east central states.  He also served in several callings in the Church throughout his life with one of his most enjoyable experiences working in the Bountiful Temple.  He is survived by his wife Carol, four children, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. Dennis was known for his poems and family pool parties where his posterity gathered and enjoyed birthdays and holidays. 

Funeral services will begin at 11:00am at the Mueller Park 4th Ward building 1320 East 1975 South, Bountiful, Utah 84010.  Viewings will be held on January 13, 2019 at Russon Mortuary from 5:00pm-7:00pm located at 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah 84010 and on January 14, 2019 prior to funeral services from 9:45am-10:45am.
