Dee was born on December 12, 1932 to Eunice Lister Atwood and Leslie Atwood in Mt. Emmons, Utah. She married Walter Thomas on May 4, 1951 and together they raised 5 wonderful children. They were married for 52 years before Walt passed away in 2003. Dee grew up on a farm in the small town of Altamont. She enjoyed riding horses and was the 1948 Altamont Rodeo Queen in high school. . Dee enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, and most of all spending time with loved ones. Dee also worked at Litton Guidance and Control for 15 years.
Dee was the “Matriarch” of her family. She taught her family about the most important things in life. Dee was the most kind-hearted, beautiful, and caring woman you could ever meet. Everyone who knew her, fell in love with her. Dee always had her own little way of showing each person how much they meant to her. She has been an amazing example of strength and love to all of us.
