Diane Chlo Evans Jensen, of Centerville, Utah, was 66 years of age when she returned home to her Father in Heaven. A beloved Grammy, wife, mother and sister, Diane passed away peacefully late Saturday afternoon on October 17th, 2015, at LDS Hospital, BMT Unit, surrounded by many loved ones. Diane battled against cancer that ultimately claimed her life.
Diane attended Bountiful High school where she met her sweetheart, Dennis. She then attended University of Utah and got her Bachelors in Education. When Dennis returned home from a mission in Australia, they were married for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on September 2nd, 1970. Subsequently, they were blessed with four healthy children: one daughter and three boys. She had a deep love for her 8 grandchildren that loved her dearly in return. She was "the best" Grammy. She was known for her masterful sewing, especially when her grandkids entered her life. She enjoyed creating beautiful blankets and dresses. She served her community faithfully, and created many lasting friendships throughout her life. She brought sunshine with her wherever she went.
She is survived by her spouse, Dennis P. Jensen of Centerville, Utah, and their four children: Hallie & (Stephen Schaff) of Woods Cross, Utah, Brandon & (Becca Jensen) of Woods Cross, Utah, Jeremy & (Jordan Jensen) of Great Falls, Montana and Aaron & (Stephanie Jensen) of Bountiful, Utah, and her 8 grandchildren. Also, her siblings John Evans of Bountiful, Utah, and Traci Thorup of Bountiful, Utah. She was preceded by her parents Fred and Helen Evans.
Her viewing is at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N Main St, Bountiful, UT, on Thursday, October 22nd from 6-8 pm.
Her funeral service is at the Centerville Utah South Stake Center, 270 North 300 East, Centerville, UT, on Friday, October 23rd starting at 9:30-10:30 a viewing will be held, the funeral will follow at 11am. Graveside services are at the Bountiful Cemetery following the church services.
We cannot express enough gratitude to the BMT Unit at LDS Hospital. They became a part of our family. Thank you. Our sweet Diane was vivacious, loving, and faithful; a true friend. She will be greatly missed. Till we meet again Diane. We love you to the moon and back.
