On April 7, 2024, Diane Dickson DaBell passed away 6 days shy of her 94th birthday. Her strong, little body was worn out from years of canning, making bread, teaching Elementary students, entertaining, raising her four children, serving in the temple and as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Washington DC Mission.
Diane was the daughter of Laurel Miner Dickson and Delmar H Dickson, the third of four children. She grew up in Ogden Utah, graduating from Ogden High School. Years later, after marrying and having her family, she went back to school and received her degree in Elementary Education from BYU.
Diane was welcomed to her heavenly home by her husband Monte, parents, siblings, in-laws, a beloved daughter-in-law, and her Savior Jesus Christ. She was the last of her generation for our family. A selfless woman, she was always deeply devoted to her family, friends, and faith.
Diane leaves behind her children: David (Robyn) Dabell, Daniel (Kristie) DaBell, Annette (Ralph) Pond, and Darin (Rosy) DaBell, 18 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and counting.
While we are experiencing all the emotions that come with this loss, she was loved and treasured by family and friends. Though she will be missed, there is peace knowing that she is again reunited with family members on the other side of the veil.
Family services will be held at Russon Mortuary on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 (her birthday) where we will celebrate her life and love for each of us. Interment — Bountiful City Cemetery.
