Diane Francis Bangerter, 67, passed away at home on November 13, 2019 after gracefully enduring treatments for multiple myeloma for nearly five years. She was born May 11, 1952 to Howard Kent and Donna Burch Francis in Salt Lake City, Utah. Diane was raised in Bountiful, Utah along with two brothers. She graduated from Bountiful High School in 1970. She married Alan Bert Bangerter on October 18, 1973 in the Salt Lake Temple. They put down roots on Alan's family farm in Bountiful where they raised six children.
Diane was a wonderful homemaker, wife, and mother, she could do everything, and do it well. As the kids got a little older, she began working on the farm during the harvest season. She was a great example of working hard without complaint for her children, as well as the hundreds of youth that worked on the farm over the years.
Diane was very talented at cooking, sewing, floral arrangements, decorating, crafts, planning and organizing events, quilting, and gardening. She enjoyed many hobbies including golfing, bowling, reading, shopping, and going on cruises with family and friends.
Diane was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, diligently serving in many callings. She was devoted to ministering to those around her and exemplified a Christ-like life, with patience, kindness, and service to all.
Diane is survived by her husband, her children Jill (Pete) Hansen, Chuck (Kerianne), Nick (Darci), Drew (Dena), Bryce (Elsina), Ally (Paul) Rampton, her brothers Lee (Diane) and Don (Linda) Francis, and 16 grandchildren – Logan & Kylie Hansen; Brighton, Bode & Sage Bangerter; Jace, Cael, Lila & Chaz Bangerter; Abby, Rylee & Presley Bangerter; Barrett, Ryder & Evan Bangerter; and Olivia Rampton. Preceded in death by her parents and oldest grandson, Trevor Hansen.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 17 from 6-8 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street in Bountiful, Utah and also on Monday, November 18 from 9:30-10:30 am at the Bountiful 19th Ward building 1540 North 400 East. The funeral service will follow at 11 am with internment at Bountiful City Cemetery.
