Gladys Diane Williams Rossi, the original Lovely Lady, passed away peacefully February 6, 2015. Diane was born October 8, 1940 to Lyle L. and Gladys Williams in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Diane was a longtime resident of Bountiful, Utah, but was still an Idaho girl at heart. She graduated from Blackfoot High School where she proudly bucked as the Bronco mascot. She later graduated from LDS Business College in 1959.
She enjoyed field trips with grandkids, fishing, vacations to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and the desert country of the four-corners area. Diane dirtied her knees nurturing her large rose garden and brightened her home with countless orchids over the years. She loved to read and wore out an extensive library of children's books which she read to her children and grandchildren.
She married John Wynn Rossi on December 29, 1965 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Diane and John established their home on Center Street in 1968. Over the years they have acquired a strong network of loyal friends in their neighborhood, ward, and beyond. They have four children: Eric (Leslie), Dana, Tony (Vicki), and Cidne (the other Eric). Diane adored spending time with her grandchildren: Tarrin (Curtis), Dylan (serving in the CA Arcadia mission), Brit; William, Savion, Desi; Sam, Nick, Luke; Kassi (Jeff); and great-granddaughter Mia.
Diane had a long career working in the title business, a highlight of which was working alongside her sister Marilyn for 15 years. Diane developed many strong friendships with co-workers and clients. She and Marilyn retired together in 2012.
She had a quiet, strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of prayer and priesthood blessings. Diane was a long-time member of the D.U.P. and spent several years volunteering for ARC of Utah. She loved her time serving in the Primary. A true nurturer at heart, she was a mom to four and second mom to many.
She is renowned for her love of Anacin, nose drops, Juicy Fruit gum, Mandarin Chinese food, Dogwood trees in bloom, Almond Roca, lobster at Little America, and the Oak Ridge Boys (whose music escorted her on her final journey).
Diane was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her sunshine, Johnny Wynn, and her siblings: Marilyn, Richard, Stephanie, and Jane.
