Dianne “Di” Louise Cook peacefully passed away and returned to Heavenly Father on 3/21/2025 surrounded by her family.
Born on 9/09/1955 to Donald and Shirley Lyon in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dianne was proceeded in death by her parents Don and Shirley Lyon, her sister Susan Geertsen, and most recently by her nephew Daniel Geertsen.
Dianne is survived by Randall Cook, siblings David Lyon, Tammy Harr, daughters Candace Huff, Tiani (Richard) Wekluk, Brianna Cook and as Dianne always stated “Her daughters from another mother” Evelyn Kitchen and Keli Cook, grandchildren Sean, Kimberly, Tyler, Amber, Wyatt, Mercedes, MaKayla, Jade, Devin, Melissa, Winter and Precious, and 18 great grandchildren. Dianne collected many ‘unofficial’ sons and daughters throughout her life including her nieces and nephews.
Dianne was very passionate about her hobbies. Baking for loved ones, playing the piano any chance she could, and her love for genealogy, discovering more about her family history. When not baking or playing the piano, she always had a book by her side.Dianne truly knew it was better to give than receive. Her generosity knew no bounds.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at the Hunter 2nd Ward, 3970 South 5200 South, West Valley City, Utah, where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment - Redwood Memorial Estates.
