Dillon Mathew Olsen

Dillon Mathew Olsen, born in Bountiful on November 28th, 1994 unexpectedly passed away on July 21st, 2015 at the age of 20.

Dillon was an extremely loving and passionate person who cherished his family, friends and the love of his life, Stephanie Schaer, with all of his heart. Dillon loved the outdoors, being adventurous, causing trouble and then making up for the trouble he caused. He was so amazing with children and always showed great patience and love with them. Dillon was very motivated to make the most of his life and move beyond any mistakes he made. He was a hard worker and loved working alongside his brother, JJ, for their cousin Jeremy. Dillon looked up to his siblings and always tried to make them proud. Dillon had a soft spot for his Grandma, Vicki, and never wanted to disappoint her or his Step-Father, Richard. Dillon had many, many friends and most would refer to him as family. It is easy to say he touched the hearts of everyone he came in contact with and he will be missed dearly.

Dillon was preceded in death by his great grandparents Fay and Ardell Byington and his father John Neal Olsen and aunt Leanda Kiester. He is survived by grandparents Dick and Vicki Everett, Jack Olsen, Connie (Leroy) Cooley, Allen (Trish) Kiester; mother Tammara Kiester Olsen, stepfather Richard Herron; siblings John “JJ” Olsen, Amber Herron, Christopher Herron, Nick Olsen, Nate (Andrea) Olsen and Nicole (Rob) Smith; aunts and uncles Rick (Tina) Everett, Jodi (Ben) Lemon, Raunde (Burke) Thurgood, Miri (Ed) Parker, Kristi Everett, Greg (Laurie) Kiester, Stacy Kiester, Kevon (Julie) Olsen, Tami (Don) Behunin, Mike (Heather) Clark, Rod (Valyn) Olsen, Bill Olsen, Jackie (Jason) Pretwich, Paige Olsen, Randy (Terri) Olsen; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 27th from 6:30-8:30 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, located at in Bountiful, UT at 295 N. Main Street. Family and final viewing services will be held 9:30-10:45am on Tuesday and then the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at the LDS North Canyon 5th Ward Church, which is located at 2505 S. Davis Blvd in Bountiful. Graveside services at the Bountiful Cemetery will follow.
