Dixie Jacobson

August 29, 1933 — October 8, 2013

BOUNTIFUL, UT – Dixie Gay Jacobson passed away October 8, 2013. She was born August 29, 1933, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Clarence Kremer and Gladys Hepworth. She graduated from Davis High, had a career with Mountain Bell where she was a supervisor for many years, and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a great love for her family, friends, and life. She loved holidays, family gatherings, and any opportunity where she could be with her children and grandchildren, always making family her first priority. She was full of energy, always kept herself busy, extremely independent, and somehow appeared to be ageless to her family. She was easily satisfied with just the simple pleasures in life. Some of her passions were reading, puzzles, genealogy and gardening (she loved her roses). Her sense of humor and ready smile will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter Jamie Cathcart, son John (Sherri) Jacobson, and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Jeff Jacobson and her two brothers Gene Kremer and Ron Kremer.
A viewing will be held Monday, October 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 15 at Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 S. 200 W. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com.
