Dixie Williams Peterson returned peacefully to be with her husband Rich on Friday, December 13, 2024, while living at Legacy House in Bountiful, Utah.

Dixie was born August 21, 1936, in Emery, Utah, to Coy Henry and Nettie Nielsen Williams. Dixie had two older sisters, Carma Ray Nicol and Vivian W. Zundel and three younger brothers, Clarke, Stuart, and Eugene.  

Dixie attended Emery Elementary School and South Emery High School, graduating in 1954. She met and dated Richard M. Peterson of Castle Dale, Utah, all through high school. They were married August 30, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by temple President ElRay L. Christiansen. They moved to Salt Lake for one year before moving to Bountiful, Utah, where they lived the rest of their lives.  

Dixie worked at Beneficial Life Insurance Company, 1954 – 1997, as an office clerk, and as secretary to the company controller, president and assistant human resources director. She served in church ward and stake positions. She enjoyed reading, sewing and paddlewheel boat cruises. 

Grave dedication services will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and associates are invited to attend. Arrangements are being handled by Russon Bountiful Mortuary.
