Dolly Delphia Munson, age 91, passed away July 22, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born September 30, 1920 in Logan, Utah to Carl John Thim and Martina Larsina Larsen. Married Rex Evan Munson in Las Vegas on Jun 14, 1947.
Dolly was raised in Logan, Utah and at 19 married Thurlan Munson and lived in Fielding, Utah where they had 2 boys; Kenneth and Darrell. Thurlan passed away in 1945 and she married Rex Evan Munson in 1947, a Chief Machinist Mate in the U.S. Navy. They had one daughter, Judith, and were married for 30 years. They served 17 months in the Washington, Oregon Mission and baptized 19 people. She worked as a bookkeeper on the LDS Church farm for 2 years, then moved to Washington City, Utah where she lived for 30 years before moving to Bountiful, Utah for the last 3 years of her life. She loved her family dearly and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her 3 children: Kenneth (Linda) of Phoenix, Darrell (Susan) of Bountiful, and Judith (Lori) of Calgary, Canada; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. ,Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where a viewing will be held from 12:45 – 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery, Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
